Olive Oil Magic

There is something very magical about a early harvest cold pressed extra virgin oil. Rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, olive oil has been shown to help reduce cholesterol, support brain, heart and gut health. It even helps bones density. Look for olive oil bottled in a dark glass bottle and has the date on the back of the most recent past October or early November (this is the time of year that olives are still green and are richest in polyphenols).

This recipe combines roots and peels to enhance the healing and cholesterol managing properties of a good olive oil.

1/2 c fresh pressed olive oil

1 T muun chi Fermented Roots

1 T muun chi Fermented Peels

1 T fresh lemon juice

Mix the ingredients together in a small blender. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to infuse the flavors.

Place in a dark glass bottle and serve as a dip or dressing. I love to use this oil to dress my steamed asparagus or root vegetables, all while improving my microbiome and heart, brain and bones.

Be creative and jazz up your meals while improving your health at the same time!
