Magical Cacao - Hot or Cold

There's been a pot of hot cacao brewing at our muun chi shop for the past few weeks. It's been perfect for this wet, cold weather we've been having. I look forward to seeing you in the shop to share a cup with you. Here's the recipe for those of you who have been looking for it on our website. It's easy, and packed with fiber and antioxidants. I love to serve it warm, but a lot of people have found it refreshing cold.

Makes 4 cups

4 cups fresh almond milk. I use almonds and keep the pulp as part of the milk, increasing the fiber and nutritional content. I've also done this with hemp milk and it is equally as delicious.

8 dates

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup raw cacao (powder is fine, and does not contain refined sugars or butter)

Put all the ingredients in a blender and whirl for a minute. I love to keep it chunky for the fiber, but feel free to blend til smooth and thick. Some like to use this in their coffee instead of sugar and a creamer. It makes a yummy chocolate espresso. Enjoy~~!
