Keeping summer simple and alive:)

Bathing in the warmth of the sun, listening to the laughter of children playing with cold water, eating fresh watermelon off the rind...

Here‘s a fun way to cut up your melon to make a melon popsicle without any refined sugars!

Next week I’ll share a fun watermelon kefir slush made with fresh melons and muun chi kvass:), and how to save the rind and make it in to an upcycled fermented treat! Watermelon is a great way to stay hydrated as it's 95% water. Citrulline is an amino acid in the rind and flesh that stimulates the production of nitric oxide, which helps relax and expand blood vessels, helping to reduce blood pressure and promote blood flow. It also enhances the production of the amino acid arginine which boosts immune function and healing of any wounds.
