Dr. Bieler’s Detox Broth

I am so impressed with this broth. Our friend Jessy shared it with me in the shop last week. I made it for the store, and drank it early in the week. It basically reset my system completely...almost better than a fast. I thought I'd share this with you in case you have the time to make it. If not, come on into the shop and get yourself some. It's yummy cold or warm, and it does such a great job getting rid of junk that may have collected in your system. It is believed that we carry 5-10 pounds of feces in our colons that just collects over time - the colon is capable of carrying up to 25 pounds in the average colon. A healthy gut is able to eliminate waste and leave the colon fairly clean, but inevitably some feces remain and collects over time. This is the benefit of the detox broth. It essentially helps move old poo out of your system.

3 medium zucchini

1 c broccoli, including the tender stalks

2 stalks celery

3 bunches Italian parsley

2 lbs green beans

Cut all ingredients into bite size pieces. Place them in large pot. Cover with veggie broth or filtered water. Bring to a boil and simmer til tender - about 20 min. Place all the ingredients into a blender with 6 cloves of garlic and 3 inches of ginger root. Blend til smooth. I like mine a little chunky. Season to taste.

There are many ways to take this broth. Jessy likes to drink it cold throughout the day. I drank it warm 8 oz in the morning and 8 oz in the evening. By the next day, I had pooped all my waste out -I felt completely un-bloated, light and full of energy. If you ever feel you have not fully evacuated, this is the real deal.

You know how much I love beets, don't you? The funny thing is that my love for them has very little to do with how they taste. My love for them comes from knowing how much they have changed my life.
